13th (Service) Battalion Middlesex Regiment – War diary

LA GLANERIE

The Battalion continued to be engaged in training. Special attention being given to organised recreation.

3 Dec 1918

The 2nd Battn of the Regiment being billeted nearby the Battn marched over to visit them at TAINTIGNIES. A match of football being played and won by 6 goals to 2.

T/Lieut. A. REDFORD granted permission to wear badges of rank of Capt. (acting Capt while comdg a Coy).

6 Dec 1918

T/Lieut. P. BARNFATHER M.C. to be acting Capt. (additional) 26.10.18., list No. 215 of 24.11.18.).

9 Dec 1918

T/Capt F.L. WIGINTON removed from establishment of the Battn (effect from 30.9.18).

13 Dec 1918

T/2nd Lieut. E.T. SEVONOAKS relinquished his commission on account of his health (MS/D/203 d/4.12.18).

The Battn moved to billets in RUMES.
