  1. Thank you for your considerable effort putting the 13th Btln record online. My Grandfather Pte. 8169 James Henry Walsh was in this Btln from formation throughout the war, although I do not know which company he belonged to. Despite being shot in the head and at one point being taken prisoner and escaping, he lived until he was 79.

      I’m trying to research my wife’s 3x grandfather, Lance corporal william 13th Battalion died 22nd January 1917.

      Just the fact I now have a link, is heartening, as all we have is the name and grave which we’ve visited.
